What services does ICGS offer?
ICGS explains exactly what procedures you must follow, forms you must complete and certificates you must present in order to be recognized as an Italian citizen. From this site alone, you can find out whether or not you are eligible for citizenship, contact the nearest Italian embassy or consulate, download citizenship forms and order certified copies of vital records from your state or province.
ICGS also offers the following paid services:
- Using a number of public resources, we will try to determine WHERE and WHEN (in Italy) your ancestor was born, married, or died. We may also be able to determine the names of their parents and/or spouse.
($95 USD per search, includes up to 5 hours of research and a detailed report of our results).
- If you have a date and location but are UNCERTAIN, we will search the relevant town or city's records to confirm the information BEFORE requesting the certificate. This step is NOT required to request a certificate from Italy.
($25 USD per search, but only after confirming the microfilm is available).
- With a precise location and date, we will contact the relevant Italian authorities and request your ancestor's birth, marriage and/or death certificate(s). A narrow date range is acceptable, but may result in a longer wait.
($60 USD for the first copy + $20 USD for each additional copy).
Your ancestor's certificates from Italy are required for your citizenship application and can be requested from the menu bar above. While immigration attorneys typically charge thousands of US dollars, ICGS provides the information to do everything yourself for just a few hundred.
"ICGS helped me to obtain a copy of an Italian birth certificate when no other organisation in London was able to do so. The help I received was excellent from customer service. I would highly recommend ICGS."
